At Dentists on Dunbar we have invested in a microscope to improve our field of view when we are performing various procedures. This includes root canals, fillings, crowns, and various surgeries. The microscope can give magnification up to 400 times more than the naked eye, and up to 100 times more than dental loupes. Dental loupes are the magnified glasses we often wear throughout procedures. While we may not use the microscope for every procedure, we have it accessible when we know it will have a clinical significance on the outcome. Microscopes are an essential tool to providing optimal care to patients, and we have pride knowing it’s available in our office.
